I watched a film called 'Control' last night about the late Ian Curtis from joy division and I was blown away. I've been listening to joy division for a few years but never really knew much about Ian apart from being aware of his suicide at a mere 23 years old. Control is directed by Anton Corbijn who is now known for his g-star commercials but also directed the video for heart shaped box by Nirvana and has done loads of other cool shit. The whole film is shot in black and white which I was a bit apprehensive about, but after watching it I couldn't imagine it any other way. It is sad, and morbid but also a love story, and the scenes of the band playing are great. I would strongly advise anyone to watch this film, and now all I wanna do is listen to joy division and wear more black...
